Three things decide whether a carrier suits your cat and your journey. Here is each one, and how the two Roambury carriers answer it.
Dimensions
A carrier is only as useful as its measurements. Both Roambury carriers are given in centimetres, unrounded: 42 × 34 × 27 for the backpack, 40 × 26 × 22 for the shoulder carrier.
Airline rules
No airline approves a model of bag: each one publishes a cabin envelope, and those envelopes move — Virgin Australia only opened its cabin to pets in 2025. The flying page sets each envelope next to our two carriers, with the date of the table.

Two numbers instead of a badge
Cabin size. An airline publishes an envelope, not an approval. Our dimensions sit next to that envelope, so the comparison is yours to make.
Load. The manufacturer certifies 15 kg on the backpack’s straps and seams. That is a structural rating for the bag, not a recommendation about what to put in it.
